Update on Tom Claerhout
Hello AHRMA, I would like everyone to know that I am home and doing well after breaking my tibia/fibia and ankle at the Moberly VMX National. I was taken by ambulance to Moberly Regional Medical Center and then transported to the University Hospital in Columbia. Surgery was successful with a rod put in place along with 4 screws to hold everything together. I would like to thank the owner of HLR Motorsports for his help at the track and loading up my truck for me. I should be good to go in 2-3 months.
Thanks,
Tom Claerhout
Update on Jared Lange

He was taken by ambulance to Hollister Hospital and then Air Lifted to Stanford Medical where he underwent 3 hour surgery by Chief of Orthopedics Dr. Bellino. Surgery went awesome and they say he will be good as new in about 3 months. We would like to thank everyone for there concern at this other side of racing that we all dred.
Thanks Curt & Jared Lange.
AHRMA Member Loses Home to Fire
On Friday, 10/10/08, AHRMA member Jimmy McDannald lost his home due to a fire that may have been started by a vehicle accident.
Jimmy had just gone to the store when the fire started and that may have saved his life. The barn where his nine vintage bikes were stored was also a total loss. The home had been in his family since 1942. Jimmy also lost many family items including his great grand mother’s diary. Those kinds of loses make this tragedy even more difficult to deal with.
AHMRA members are good people – if there is anything that you can offer to help or would like to send a note here’s Jimmy’s mail address.
